Ok, so we have officially experienced our first "judgement" since the pregnancy started. Today is the first day I have cried in a really long time, and it's sad that someone like this had to be the cause of it.
I don't care if anyone gets offended by this, because this is my opinion only... and my blog. So, I'll start from the beginning...
Joash had auditioned to play music a couple weeks ago at a church that he has been going to in Baton Rouge. He said the audition went really well, and the next day the guy emailed him letting him know how great he played, and that they should get together to talk about perhaps playing together. He invited Joash to lunch, and they met up and got to know eachother some more. I thought it was odd that the guy never worked a deal out or a schedule for him to play, since they have many services and expressed how they could use him. After that lunch, the guy told him yet again, he would email him.
Joash then got a phone call from another guy who wanted to meet with him today. He actually was the instructor for this relationship class we attended last weekend, so we didn't think it had anything to do with the music program. Well, come to find out this guy has some say-so in who plays music for the church, and wanted to speak with Joash about that. So, lo and behold we found out why there was never any word of when Joash would start playing. Apparently this church has "rules" that will not allow anyone to play for them if they are "not right with God". So since they found out that Joash and I were living together, and have a baby on the way, they are not allowing him to be on the stage to play in front of the congregation. I freakin LOST IT. I mean, who are you to judge?!?! This is the first time that I have felt like absolute SHIT for being in the situation that we are in. Never have I EVER regretted the fact that we will be having a baby. Eventhough it is not the "traditional" thing to do, I still believe it was in God's plan for it to happen. I refuse to let this "Godly person" judge us for being who we are. I mean, come on, how many church-goers are going to know that Joash is living with someone and has a baby out-of-wedlock?!?! Joash wasn't near as upset as I was, and he said that many churches are that way. Are they not supposed to be underdstanding and supportive? We all are sinners on this Earth, and I think it's just plain hypocritical with what they were doing to us. I mean, would they have let him play for them even if we weren't living together, but were still pregnant? I just don't get it.... I told Joash that I am not going back to that class, and I will not attend a service with him there anymore. I will not let anyone else judge myself or my precious miracle baby.
Thanks for letting me vent.....

Things I can't wait to do after I deliver...
1. Wear normal clothes. I am SO sick of feeling like a big blob, and not feeling cute at all. I also can't wait to wear a bathing suit, God-willing.
2. Go back to the gym on a regular basis. Mom and I have been starting to walk, but I really really miss my Body Pump classes!
3. Have my first drink..... or three. A martini sounds really great, or my favorite- Red Bull and Grey Goose.
4. Ride on rollercoasters/water slides. It is hard visiting Orlando, knowing I can't do any of this!
5. Eat sushi at a Japanese restaurant. Hibachi is just not the same without it...
6. Shave my own legs! It is really humbling when someone else has to do it for me. Thank God Joash doesn't mind, and he doesn't cut me.
7. Dye my hair back blonde... I have dyed it brown to avoid the upkeep during pregnancy and after delivery... but by the time Emily's wedding comes I think I'm going back blonde.
8. Go out bowling... Joash won't let me because he read somewhere that it's not good for pregnancy.
9. This really should have been number 4, but i'm too lazy to edit- Get in a hot tub!!!!! Gosh, I have really missed this. Thank goodness we don't have one here, but that's going to be one of the first things Mom and Dad get at the new house.
10. Hold and cuddle my precious Jonah. This moment really can't come any sooner.

29 week belly picture and the ones leading up to it
I was 7 weeks for Daniella's wedding the beginning of Sept, and I had no clue. I found out 2 days later!I was about 16 weeks here. My bff Chelse was 8 months!
Belly pic at 24 weeks, 4 days. We took this after church one day. Kitty in the background!
I was 21 weeks Christmas Eve. We were getting ready to go to Mass. =)
This is my belly at 26 weeks and 2 days. This is when I took my maternity photos in Destin.
This is my belly at 29 weeks, 1 day. I am upset because I am just now starting to experience some dreaded stretch marks.... Ugh! But, I knew they would come sooner or later! My mom says she doesn't think I can get much bigger, because she thinks I'm "Huge". We shall see! I just pray that Jonah isn't a 9 pounder. I would be much happier with 7!

First day at home without work
Yesterday was an interesting day at work. We had a power outage for about an hour and a half. I was burning up the whole time! But, was glad when it came back on. Apparently most of Bluebonnet was out due to a tripped breaker from Entergy. Ha! I got a very nice going away card/gift card from the staff and I also got a couple little outfits from Liz, who was more or less my supervisor while I was there. I was sad to go, but completely understood the circumstances! I was just happy I got the experience...
I am sitting here watching the interview on the Octuplet mom that aired last night. This lady is not in her right mind. She is even denying having her lips enhanced.... I call a BIG Bullshit! She is unemployed, living with her mother, and is not married (but who am I to judge about unwed mothers? lol). I am worried for those children, and I pray that they do not have mental or health problems as they grow. They are very cute! She also named one Jonah... strange.
I am going to try to get around to posting my progressing belly pics here on my blog, I just have to take the time to do it. I need to take a pic this week, since today I am officially 29 weeks along! I can't believe it! 11 weeks to go, so Jonah will be here so very soon. I can't wait to hold him.
I just found out that my friend Erin, in Dallas had her baby 5 weeks early. She had it this past Saturday morning. Ironically she was supposed to have a baby shower that day. I can't wait to hear her birth story. The baby girl is named Ashtyn Chanel Wages. I'm sure she's beautiful.

My gut feeling was right....
This morning I received a phone call from the HR Manager in our Metairie office letting me know that they hired someone permanently and tomorrow would be my last day. I am sad to leave, not only because of the money, but also because I've worked with a lot of really nice people at LSRH. I'm glad to have gotten the opportunity though... I contacted the staffing company and they said there's not anything for me right now, but they're keeping me at the top of their list.
Joash started his new job at Louisiana Roofing and Supply today. He said he will be getting his own office, and he was mostly training on modules today. Seems like he will like it! He will also be starting a part time position tomorrow evening at a new Mexican Restaurant in town... We will see how that goes!
I had another Dr.'s appointment today, and everything went well. Mom and Dad came with me. Mom and I heard the baby's heartbeat (Dad wasn't in the room yet), and my blood pressure was 120/70 which the nurse said was perfect. =)
I found out that I am type O+ blood type- I never knew that!
The Doctor measured my belly, and said everything is right on track. She also gave us the name of a pediatrician in Tyler that her sister uses, so we can try and make a smooth transition when we move. My doctor visits are pretty uneventful, but that's good! Everything is going perfect, and she said I'm carrying all my weight in my belly, which is typical for baby boys. That makes me feel better because I have gained a lot so far! And I still got a ways to go. Oh well... As long as Jonah is healthy, I'm okay with that.
Mom and I will probably start packing up some boxes this week. We are going to stay in Tyler a couple nights on our way to my baby shower in Midland in a couple weekends, so we can drop a load of house stuff off. Did I mention how excited I am to see the house?!? Daddy will be there after he gets off work in 2 weeks (he goes back tomorrow), and hopefully they can get the cable set up so it doesn't feel so desolate. We also need to do something about cell phone reception. We all get absolutely NO service in the house, and have to walk out in the street to make a phone call. Talk about lame!
My parents also ordered Jonah's baby furniture today. We got the convertible crib and hutch/dresser. I am so excited! If you saw the picture of the bedding a couple posts down, it's the same crib that is shown in the picture. It's from JCP also and we got some type of online discount, plus their sale that's going on. We are having most of it shipped to the Tyler store so we can just pick it up there, and one piece has to be sent here to the house. I'm stoked to start setting up his room! We are getting overwhelmed with all the baby stuff piled up in this house.
Well, it's time for dinner! Tonight is dad's last night here and they cooked some good chicken! Til next time....

A little lonely!
I'm so ready for Mom, Dad and Joash to come home! I've been lonely without them this week, and since Lacey has stood me up once again, I really just want to be around some company. If only the cats could talk back....
I'm bummed too- because here at work they have interviewed 6 girls in the last 2 days to take my position here. I wished they would give me more time because I am not job searching after this... and I'm really worried about bills, etc. At least J will start his job on Monday. That will really help. Please continue the prayers!
I am also MAD that my blog layout is no longer working because the site has been down. Boo! And i can't even seem to find other sites with cute layouts. So i'm just going to have to change mine to a template this site has, and i'm not too fond of that.
So I guess i'm glad I can sleep in tomorrow. Then, Joash and I will go to Picayune to Amy and Trey's on Sunday for Brody's 1st Birthday Party! That will cheer me up because I will get to be around some babies!

I am still so very jealous....
So Joash made it to Tyler yesterday and got to help set up some furniture and beds in the new house. He said it was beautiful! He got to see the lake, and said it was huge! They had to go shopping for towel racks/toilet paper holders. The house didn't come with them! That's so funny because when I bought my house in Biloxi, mine didn't come with them either and my Dad goes "I wish I would have been there for the final walk-through because I would have noticed that kind of thing, so we don't have to purchase them ourselves"! Lo-and-behold, "Mr. Professional Home-Buyer" goes and does it himself! Hahaha, I got a good laugh out of that if you can imagine. When you're so wrapped up in the ins and outs of buying a new home, you don't notice the little details. Shea even saw the house before the purchase, "Ms. Interior Designer", and she missed it as well.... Funny stuff. What's not funny is that I have to wait 3 more weeks to see our new place!
Anyhow Jonah has been taking some pretty hard hits on me this past week. I guess he thinks it's funny, or he's just letting me know that he's in there and he's active. I still haven't gotten used to the feeling, and I just don't like it! It's comforting to know that he's in there and alive, but it's not comfortable to be woken up with the jolts and flutters. I know it's only going to get worse since yesterday was the beginning of my 3rd trimestser. We are on the home stretch now! I go to the Dr. again on Monday. We will see how things have progressed. I am still thrilled that I passed the gestational diabetes screen. From here on out, the Dr.'s appts will be getting closer and closer together, that means the end is near! I have been reading up on lots of labor and delivery information, and just learned about the good ole mucus plug! I had NO idea that thing existed, and i'm not excited to discover that I lost it one day, either. Oh well... I know Jonah will be well worth the aches, pains and sleepless nights!
I don't know if I wrote about this in an earlier post, but my cousin in Houston, Kammy had her baby and I saw pictures of Isaiah the other day. He is so precious! They have been in my prayers because he had to be placed in NICU until tomorrow morning. So they are hoping he will be home then. I wish them all the luck.
Also on a good note, I have the best BFF's ever! I spoke to both Alexis and Emily yesterday and I am just thrilled that they are putting on my last 2 showers for me! Alexis will be throwing the one in Midland, TX on February 28th. Both my grandma's, my sister, and friends from Hobbs and Midland (hopefully Lubbock, too) will be joining us for that one, so I'm real excited about that! Emily is throwing me one in my hometown of Picayune where I will see most of my friends and Mom's friends that are still there. I can't wait for either one! And i'm just looking forward to seeing everyone.
That's all for now, let's see if I can dig up some work.
PS- Joash starts his new job in Prairieville on Monday! Thank the Lord!

Can't ever make up my mind, but....

I absoultely found some crib bedding that I'm in love with! So much, that we are going to exchange the set that we originally bought. Thank Goodness I didn't open it already! I am so excited! Jonah is going to have a "pretty" room!
I am meeting Joash at JCP for my lunch break to see if they have it in the store. I sure hope so!

Answered prayers!
After 33 days of endless hopes and prayers of Joash finding a job, he finally found one today! It is at a company in Prairieville called Louisiana Roofing and Supply. He will be training for a management position, and the owner really liked him! I am so excited and so happy that this week is off to a great start. Thanks to all of you who have been keeping us in your thoughts and prayers- they're definitely working. =)
Our Super Bowl Sunday
Joash and I had a very eventful day! He went to church at Healing Place early early and was home in time to come with me to my church at 11:30am. For once, we weren't late for this one and had a seat! That church is getting too small for all the "goers". Afterwards I was craving hot dogs, so we cooked those for lunch and I watched my newly found addiction "Cops" until I fell asleep while Joash did his homework. Then, as the Super Bowl was starting, Joash and I finally got to complete the Thank You cards from the baby shower last weekend! I was so happy to get that finished! Woo hoo!
We were really wanting the underdog Cards to win, but that wasn't the case. And I thought the game should have been called the "Flag Bowl" instead of the Super Bowl. The refs were Flag-crazay!

Fire alarm at work....
So we just got done freezing our little tails off outside because the fire alarm system was blasting through the building here at work. We had to trek down the stairs and wait outside in the cold wind/rain until it was "safe" to return. We think they sound the system when there is new people moving in the building, for what reason I don't know!
Anyway, I think God knew that I needed to wake up this morning, and that surely did the trick!
=)
