I think today....

I will start getting the hospital bags together. This saying has got me feeling a lot of different things: Excited, Nervous, Scared, Sad, Happy, etc. It is the weirdest thing. I don't even know how to explain it, and I think I'm rambling. I can't believe in less than 30 days my little angel will be here with me. I know he is going to be the cutest thing, ever.

Briana and Jacob's visit

They flew in last Wednesday to come stay with us, which was great! After I picked them up at the airport, we surprised Joash at work. I wanted them to see his office. That night we cooked soft tacos, and it was lovely. Thursday Briana, Jacob and I went to the Mall of LA because I had an appointment at the Apple Store for my stupid iPhone. We then had lunch at Jason's Deli and I took them to the Tanger Outlet mall. That night Joash and I cooked us all spaghetti! And I'm sure there were a few Cops episodes in between... although we did watch American Idol. Too bad for Michael Sarver! Anyway, on Friday I tookd Briana and Jacob to see "I Love You, Man" and we laughed our butts off for almost 2 hours. It was great. Then that night we had Japanese Hibachi. Our chef was this jolly Asian man who laughed like Santa clause non-stop. Here's a pic of the siblings, so cute!

I took some pics with them too, but I'd rather not post. I hate seeing myself in pictures these days... the swelling is really becoming a terrible thing...

Anyway, they had to depart Saturday morning taking Joash's civic back to FL with them. Sad to see it go, but glad to only have one payment!

We had a great time with them, and hope they will visit again when little Jonah comes!

Last Doctor's visit....

I went to the doctor on Fri, March 20 for my 34 week appointment. This was the first appointment that I had high blood pressure. It really made me nervous, because I have never had that problem before. So the nurse had me lay on my left side, and took it again. It was normal. Then she had me sit up a few minutes later to check once more, and it was normal again. Thank Goodness!
The doctor came in and checked me and said I was measuring about 37 weeks. So that's 3 weeks ahead. She still thinks that the baby will still come around the due date, but she wants a sono done the next time I go. I am excited about that so we can see how big Jonah is! I will also have my first internal exam and a group strep b test done at that appointment, both of which I'm not so happy about- I will probably freak out and will need Mom's help to hold me down and try to comfort me. I wish I wasn't such a big baby sometimes.

I went back in to the doctor the Monday following just to make sure the BP was still okay, and it was. So we're not worried about that anymore thankfully.

I see the doc again this Thurs, so I will keep y'all posted. =)

Apparently everytime I take a belly pic now, I have a lazy eye. I have to wait to go to the Optometrist til after the delivery, since the hormones make my eyes change again....

Jonah's nursery

Joash and I finally got to go to Tyler, Tx a couple weekends ago so we could prepare Jonah's nursery and get the crib ready! We were so excited that the assembly was so easy. And did I mention that I absolutely love the bedding??! It looks really great. The only thing we're waiting to do is get Jonah's dresser from Gonzales to Tyler, and it will probably have to go in a U-haul when we move. Here is a slide show of the progress we made!

Doctor Update

Joash and I went to the Doctor this past Fridy for a routine checkup. The doctor says everything looks great. My blood pressure is fine, and we also got to hear Jonah's rapid heartbeat. It is so amazing! Dr. Lafranca actually thinks that I may be measuring at 34 weeks as opposed to 32. She said it COULD be that I am short waisted, also. But I really hope that my due date is sooner! I go back for another check up on March 20. I asked her when we find out how big he is, and she said that if we do get to have another sono, that it will be at my 36 week appointment. For some reason, they usually only do the 2, and I've already had both of them. We will keep you posted!

Please Don't~ I really think he has more clothes than Joash and I put together! I unpacked some of Jonah's clothes yesterday and couldn't believe how much we already have! And I still have one more baby shower on Saturday! Not to mention, we have a whole rubbermaid bin of newborn clothes at the house in Gonzales. Wow! But we are truly blessed because my BFF Amy has given me most of his clothes since she had her son Brody about a year ago, and then I haven't been able to resist buying him clothes whenever I go to a store. I really hope Joash's sister has another little boy so I can give her some clothes!

Quick Update

So just to let you know that I haven't forgotten to update this thing. I have just been on the road! Right now I am still in Tyler, TX at the new house. It is absoulely amazing. I took pictures, but I left my uploading cord at home for my camera, so you have to wait til I get back to Gonzales.

Anyway we just drove in from Midland yesterday, where I had my 2nd baby shower. My childhoood friend Alexis and her Mom hosted it at her Mom's house, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Also, my mom's friend Rosie helped out and my best friend in Hobbs, Corina. It was so good to see everyone. I was thrilled that my friend Chelse, her 2 kids Jaden and Madison and her mom Sandy were able to come as well. I know it was hard to bring 2 kids on a 2 hour drive for a baby shower. I love you Chelse! My 2grandmothers also came into town for the shower. Jonah is so spoiled already! I organized his clothes in his closet today and it is almost already full, and I still have one more shower next weekend in Picayune. Wow! I am very happy though, because I got the diaper bag that I wanted. It's a Petunia Pickle Bottom, and I absolutely love it! I also got the Pack N Play that I wanted, from the hostesses. Jonah also got lots of whale outfits from Lex and her Mom. I am also guilty of buying him 4 or 5more whale outfits today at Kohl's. He's going to have no choice but to like them! Ha!
